$ave OUR University!

The ASUC has the autonomy to distribute $1.7 million in funds from student fees. With recent tuition fee hikes, the affordability of public education has dramatically decreased, making higher education even more unattainable than it already is for many students. I hope to create a scholarship network where students can apply for funds to help pay for these increases in tuition. I will also be in contact with administrators in hopes of keeping them accountable and providing transparency on tuition fee hikes.

Updates on this project!

*As of October 27th, 2013

  • Working on a Scholarship Week in collaboration with the Financial Aid Office, Scholarship Connect, and other departments on campus that will educate students on the various scholarship opportunities we have on campus.  The week will discuss how students can start applying for scholarships and how that process of applying works.
  • Our office is working on getting involved with grant writing and fundraising initiatives to increase the Berkeley Student Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides financial opportunities to students of underrepresented communities.

*More information on this project will be updated as soon as possible.
